Welcome to the Summer Programs at Yorktown Montessori School. Our aim is to provide a safe and fun experience for children, age 2 ½ to 6 years.

Programs

Children are encouraged to participate in a wide variety of activities, which include story time, games, art & crafts, cooking, music, drama, sports, scientific exploration, and lots of hands-on activities. Bi-weekly outings may be scheduled to local attractions, including the library, fire station, farm, and parks, as well as other local educational attractions.  Information and permission forms will be sent home prior to the trips. Detail of daily activities will be posted at the school prior to each session during the summer. Parents can register their children for 1 or all 4 sessions offered. Children can be registered for the session in half day, full day, or extended full days programs.

Registration Policy

• Registration form must be submitted with a non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 per family. Early registration is recommended as registration is on a first-come first-serve basis.
• Submit one registration form per child, along with the fees for the session(s) you are registering.
• The non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 is waived for children who registered for 2 or more sessions.
• Please make checks payable to Yorktown Montessori School.
• Medical and health information must be specified where applicable.

Refund Policy

There is no refund or credits for a child’s absence due to any reason.

For the following circumstances, the fees for the remaining session registered may be refunded less the non-refundable administration fee of $30.00:

• For cancellation received in writing 4 weeks before the start of the session.
• If the child is withdrawn for the remaining session due to illness for 2 or more consecutive weeks, there is a 50% refund of the days missed.  This written request must be accompanied with a doctor’s note.
• If the teachers/staff and school administrator feel that the child is not adapting to the school environment, the child may be requested to be withdrawn from the school.
